About passwords: a password checked in the browser is a soft gate — it deters casual visitors but a technical person can bypass any client-side lock. For a real lock on the whole site, use Netlify “Visitor access” / password protection (Site configuration → Visitor access) or Cloudflare Access. Those run on the server.

Legal & privacy text

The Privacy Policy and Terms are fixed in the static build (privacy.html / terms.html) and can no longer be overridden from the browser. The former in-browser legal editor was removed for security: it let any browser user inject arbitrary HTML into the public legal pages via localStorage. Edit the legal text in source, review it, and redeploy.

Security checklist

HTTPS is automatic on Netlify and Cloudflare Pages.
For a real pre-launch lock, use the host's password protection (server-side), not just this page.
Keep the demo noindex until public launch (already set).
Do not enter protected health information into a public demo.
Keep the “informational, not advice” framing and the IP / third-party-trademark clauses in Terms.
Use Benewise™ (not ®) until the trademark registration issues.
