i In plain terms — what this number is
Money this fictional household kept by using the cheaper front door for the same care — video visits instead of urgent care, the preferred pharmacy, the preferred imaging center. Every dollar is engine-computed from the household’s synthetic demo claims; tap "see the math" for the receipts. With your own connected plan, the same math would run on your real claims — never on guesses.

This is a demo. The people are made up. The plan numbers come from real NYC documents, and every number is labeled so you know where it came from.

Recall watch

All clear today.

Recall Watch is designed to check the FDA's recall lists against your family's exact medicines — down to lot numbers. No live FDA check runs in this demo, so it claims nothing about today; the live product connects the feed and matches your NDC/lot before saying a word.

The plan on your card

Pharmacy cards

Your family uses more than one pharmacy card.

Which card depends on the medicine — the Rx tab tells you which one, every time.

i Why more than one card?
The City splits drug coverage into layers: the regular card for most medicines; the PICA card (Express Scripts) for two medication categories — self-injectable medications, and chemotherapy and certain related medications (per the NYC OLR PICA program description, July 2026; the list is non-exhaustive and doesn't itself set your cost); and your union fund's help on top. Same family, different cards, different rules. Benewise routes each fill to the right one.
Your progress

How close you are to the plan paying more of the bill.

We can track this for you.

Pick whichever is easiest — all three stay on your phone:

i What's an EOB, and why don't I need one?
An EOB — "Explanation of Benefits" — is the letter your plan mails after a visit. It says "THIS IS NOT A BILL" at the top, so most people toss it. It actually shows what the plan paid and what you owe, which is how you'd normally track your progress by hand. You don't need to keep them: connecting your account (or snapping one photo) does the same job automatically.

Pharmacy cards

Your family uses more than one pharmacy card.

Which card depends on the medicine — the Rx tab tells you which one, every time.

i Why more than one card?
The City splits drug coverage into layers: the regular card (Prime Therapeutics) for most medicines; the PICA card (Express Scripts) for two medication categories — self-injectable medications, and chemotherapy and certain related medications (per the NYC OLR PICA program description, July 2026; the list is non-exhaustive and doesn't itself set your cost); and your union fund's card on top (UFA SBF — still confirming details). Same family, different cards, different rules. Benewise routes each fill to the right one.

Which card, what it costs — for anyone in the family.

Four ways to pay less
1 · Go generic first. Generics sit on the lowest tier of nearly every schedule. Same medicine, tested the same way — exact copays depend on your rider or fund schedule (not verified in this demo).
2 · Switch brand to generic. Brand Lipitor runs $35+; generic atorvastatin is $10. One question to your doctor: "is the generic okay for me?"
3 · Use a preferred pharmacy. Same pill, about $10 less every fill.
4 · Get 90 days by mail. Usually three months for less than three retail copays — exact mail terms depend on your rider or fund schedule.

Forecast

Know ahead of time if the plan has to say yes — and what to gather.

Forecast

Wegovy: the plan must say yes before your first fill.

We're very sure this applies. Wegovy is an injectable, so it fills on the Express Scripts card — and that program checks a few things first.

From plan dataCard routing per the City's program. Today's exact rules and copayCheck first
Gather these before your appointment

Tap what you have. Your doctor sends it in — your job is making sure it's in the chart.

Words that sound alike
Prior authorization — the plan's yes, before you fill. This one applies
Step therapy — trying a cheaper medicine first. Sometimes part of the yes.
Quantity limit — a cap on how much per fill. Separate thing.
GatherDoctor sends itPlan reviews

Review the list above, then mark it done to move forward. The forecast never promises a yes.

How the forecast works. The rules come from real plan papers. Every dollar figure comes from a checked calculator — never a guess. Where a rule isn't confirmed yet, the app says "check first" instead of pretending. Everything you type stays on this screen.
